Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses Portmint's services or a Portmint-powered AI assistant. It is part of our Terms of Service. We may update it from time to time.

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Break the law, or help anyone else break the law.
  • Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Upload or generate content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually exploitative of minors, or that promotes violence or illegal activity.
  • Collect, store, or expose personal information without a lawful basis and proper disclosures, or feed the Assistant sensitive data you are not authorized to use.
  • Deceive or defraud people, impersonate others, or misrepresent the Assistant as a human where the law requires disclosure.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems; probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our written permission; or bypass usage limits or security controls.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform, or resell or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product, or to train a competing model on our outputs.
  • Introduce malware, overload or disrupt the Service (e.g., denial-of-service), or interfere with others' use.
  • Use the Assistant to provide regulated professional advice (legal, medical, financial) as if it were a substitute for a qualified professional.

Clients' responsibilities

If you operate an Assistant for your business, you are responsible for what you configure it to do, for the accuracy of the information you give it, for having the rights and disclosures needed for your customers' data, and for keeping money-moving or destructive capabilities appropriately restricted. Those capabilities are off by default and require an explicit, separately-granted scope.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or take other action we consider appropriate, including reporting to authorities where required. Violations of this AUP are violations of the Terms of Service.
